Travelling means going places and learning new things. Travelling gives you wings, it gives you the power to explore, power to learn and power to grow. I have visited a very few places, but I have learned new things on my way. Things I would not have learned otherwise. A person may forget about things he has read in a book, heard about or seen on T.V, but he can never forget things which he learns while exploring.
The Dr. B.R Ambedkar Park
This photograph reminds me of this magnificent park, ‘the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Park’. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was 20th century polymath and “father of indian constitution“. The park also honors the lives and memories of all those who devoted their life for humanity, equality and social justice. Watching the statues and architectural structure of that park, i was mesmerized. I was drained of energy because of my train journey, but it did not stop me from exploring the magnificent park. The park’s area was of 108 acres, it was inaugurated on 14 April 2008. It was made under the ministry of Ms. Mayawati, it was a project of almost 7 billion.
I did not know that ,Lucknow had such monumental places. It is known as the city of Nawabs, and it has got a nawabi vibe to it. I visited this park, which I didn’t even know existed before visiting Lucknow. In fact, my perception of people there also changed, Uttar Pradesh is said to have the highest crime rate. So I was a little sceptical about visiting Lucknow, but now I can say that its beautiful and people there are really helpful. All the tourist spots that I visited there were ‘Nawabi’. Those may be a tourist points for someone else , but it was an eye opener for me, as i was left wondering about all the amazing places waiting for me to explore them…“Be educated, Be organised and Be agitated”- by Dr. B.R Ambedkar.
